While I was waiting to get my car fixed, at Elmwood Auto, I decided to walk down the street--to stretch my legs. I came to Angie's and decided to kill the time by getting a shampoo. I am a Black female with non-traditional thin locks (sister-locks), hanging all the way down to the middle of my back. I asked the shampoo lady (I wish I had got her name - but she is not the owner), would she wash it. She was honest with me and told me that she was uncomfortable, because she had never washed locks before. I understood, but once I assured her that my locks were pretty sturdy, and there was very little that she could do to accidently damage them, she performed the shampoo. But not only that, she gave me general tips on how to handle the dryness of my scalp, and a little trick to assure that all the shampoo was rinsed from my head. She did a fantastic job! All for the nominal price of $5.00! (My locktician charges $15). I highly recommend Angie's Hair Quarters. If I lived in Oak Cliff, I would stop by every week.
