Sofia and her academy gave me so much. I started with her when I was 13, never having taken lessons before. In 5 years, she helped me produce a portfolio that got me acceptance into The Art Institute of Chicago, MICA, and The Corcoran College of Art and Design. All of my sisters and one of my brothers (7 in total) took lessons with her. We learned not only technical art skills, but also patience, perseverance, and craftsmanship. Sofia is an extraordinary teacher of all multiple medium and is the best I know.
